Deepak Paramashivan

Deepak Paramashivan is a noted scientist, oriental musician, musicologist and a theater personality, whose performance career spans three decades. He took to the stage at the age of eight and has since performed numerous Sarangi, Veena and vocal concerts globally.

He is one of the leading authorities on Sarangi and Mysore style of Veena in North America. He is currently pursuing his second PhD at the University of Alberta under Dr. Regula Qureshi and Dr. Michael Frishkopf.

The Psychedlic Sushupthi is a song from the upcoming Psytrance (psychedelic trance) album 'Beyond the Comfort Zone'.


Idhayam Maratthu is the first Tamizh Thumri composed, arranged and sung by Deepak for the Tamizh play 'Veerabhadranin Kadhal'. The song was written by Vedarun Rajkumar.

The Blue Line (excerpt only) is an electronic music piece for violin and flute from the upcoming album ‘Blue Line’, a collection of Indian songs, Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam and other folk tunes from around the world (Slated for release in January, 2019).
