Indian classical music lost a real legend

The man who Immortalized Nagumomu, Dr. M Balamurali Krishna, was a mortal after all. He is no more :(

Dear Balamurali Sir,

You were undoubtedly the most extraordinary musician we ever saw. You were a true legend of Karnatak music! I am confident that we will never savor the farm freshness of your music in the future. All we now have is the stale, run of the mill, extremely predictable music, right from the deep freezer. And your compositions in the 72 Melakartas, those priceless Thillanas, varnas and the list is almost endless. Nobody could ever emphasize the lyrical beauty of the Telugu kritis the way you did. God bless you, Sir :(
